Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelet

Finally, now that the month is nearly over....you may have gotten your flu shot, your mammogram....???


This is "Breast Cancer Awareness" month.  Though it's not a vintage item it is a limited edition collectible charm bracelet with original tin, original tags, never worn.  It is called "Power of Pink 2" second in the power series.  Only available on through resellers as this one was retired.  Original card insert.  For more pictures besides this one click HERE.

So yes, this year while thinking about men (sigh) I've decided to make our men's sections at our various shops awesome.  Yes, we are shooting for awesome this year and have some nice older but not quite vintage costumes, links and fall fashion ties being posted this week including a couple of Diors, a couple by Lily Dasche, Bill Blass, a graphic tie representing commodities and futures. 


My goal is that guys shop Gilty Girl Vintage and our handpicked inventory will keep them visiting.

This is a fabulous silk tie with a retro feel though it's about 10 years old is in like new never worn condition.  Will be posting this on Ruby P. also.

Preppy is your thing?  Here's a great chocolate brown duck sports jacket with emblem buttons.  Labeled on the inside. Size 38.  This one'll be listed on Etsy by this evening.

This one two.  All suede leather and glove leather trim.  This is a 

"Jerry Lewis Custom Classic" from his clothing line back in the day.  WAaaaay back in the day.  "Thinkin' Super Fly?"  This one's going up on Gilty Girl Vintage on Etsy.

Listed already on Ruby Plaza!  A fab newer suit with a retro.  Shimmers like shark skin and has embossed reptilian pattern on the jacket.  Wouldn't this look great with a cravat for your steampunk themed party? A smoking jacket.  This one is 35" long. Slacks are shimmery also but not imbossed.

What to do when feeling gilty.....spread it around!

I'm still learning how to use this new interface, though I've gotta say, I like it a lot!!!

I wanted to show you a photo of the ring that you'd be entered into the drawing for and

here it is!

I upcycled an old earring finding then blackened the filigree and applied carnauba wax

as a fixative on the finish.  I attached this to a brass filigree adjustable finding.  The result

is sort of Hollywood Regency meets Gothic Princess.

Gotta admit I was feeling very gilty after making this one and felt it needed to put up for

grabs so some happy puppy can don it to her next soiree.

Believe it or not, this is a belt!  It is unmarked as to maker and I haven't seen anything else like it.  Do any of my gilt ridden friends know what this is or who made it?  It has some of the design elements of Dan Kasloff who designed for Florenza back in the day.  

This can also be worn as a necklace, but it is heavy.  

Sweet Coro (signed in script) from the 1940s.  Minimalist and classy for a fall swagger jacket or swing coat. 

Pennino French Marigold Pin circa late 1930s early 40s.  This gilty pleasure is rose gold plate, yellow gold plate over solid sterling.  I found this at a thrift store!  I just love how the blossoms look like real marigolds.

Keep calm and carry on!  School has started, Halloween parties are near and before you know it, you'll be shopping for a turkey to serve the fam.   This piece is unmarked as to maker but is a large medallion piece, fit for the Queen Mum or the Queen Bee in you.
